Odds to Win the BMW Championship

Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland tosses his club after playing his shot from the eighth tee during the first round of the BMW Championship at Aronimink Golf Club on September 6, 2018 in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The penultimate stop on the FedExCup playoffs gets underway this week in Medinah, Illinois at the BMW Championship. When it comes to odds lists, Brooks Koepka and Rory McIlroy are the +800 co-favorites to go all the way.

Koepka and McIlroy are the +800 favorites at Bovada, with Jon Rahm (+1000), Dustin Johnson (+1400), Justin Thomas (+1400), Justin Rose (+1600), Patrick Cantlay (+2000), Webb Simpson (+2000), Patrick Reed (+2200) and Adam Scott (+2500) rounding out the top 10.

Only 30 spots are on the line for the Tour Championship at East Lake, so a strong performance at Medinah is crucial. The last time reigning FedExCup champion Rose and 2016 champion McIlroy played the course was in the 2012 Ryder Cup – a triumph for Europe. The winner of the BMW Championship will receive 2,000 FedExCup points. No man has successfully defended his FedExCup title.

Can Bradley Surprise at the BMW Yet Again?

Last year at the tournament Keegan Bradley pulled off an improbable victory to win for the first time in over five years when the event was held at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. It was the first time Bradley advanced to the Tour Championship since 2013. The American is a +15000 long shot to go back to back.

The course, a 7,657-yard par 72, has been a staple among American golf dating all the way back to the 1920s. The track has hosted the Ryder Cup (2012), three U.S. Opens (1949, 1975 and 1990), two PGA Championships (1999, 2006) and many other events in the pre-PGA Tour era.
