Odds to Win NBA Finals MVP Award: Kawhi’s To Lose But Is There Value With A Warrior?

NBA Finals MVP Award Betting Odds June 10, 2019

The NBA Finals could come to a close at Oracle Arena on Thursday with the Toronto Raptors facing the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 and oddsmakers think that Kawhi Leonard will win his second Finals Most Valuable Player award.

Online sportsbook BetOnline has Leonard at -300 to win the award, followed by Stephen Curry at +350, Draymond Green at +550, Klay Thompson at +1400 and Kyle Lowry at +3300 to round out the top five candidates.

With Game 6 on tap, this is all but Leonard’s to lose as he has scored over 25 points in four straight games and has been a two-way force that has pushed the Raptors to a 3-2 series lead.

Stephen Curry could be a decent option at +350 and the Warriors will need an all-world effort from the former league MVP to pull off the upset. He’s averaged 32.4 points per game in this series but is only shooting 35 percent from behind the arc, which is his lowest average in a Finals.

My Pick To Win NBA Finals MVP

Although he can sometimes be a forgotten man when you have four all-stars on the squad, my pick to win Finals MVP would be Klay Thompson. He’s been on fire from three-point range (57.6 percent) in this series and his two-way effort was on full display in Game 5 as he helped to limit Kawhi to 9-for-24 shooting from the field. I expect him to be a huge factor if the Warriors are to win the next two games and at +1400, the value is incredible.
